This self emulsifying oil for sisal & Jute fibres produces stable and hydrocarbon free emulsions to assist in sisal and jute processing. Neptune has created a self-emulsifying spinning oil with the following benefits:

 

  • Enhanced lubricity allowing economic spinning with low oil use and increased mill efficiency
  • Entirely free from mineral oil or other petroleum derived Hydro-carbons

PREPARATION OF EMULSIONS

 

Spinners will need to experiment in order to establish the best emulsion mix and application rates. The following are for illustrative purposes:

Suggested emulsion for Sisal (1000 litres)

 

100 litres Neptune Vegetable Oil Batch

900 litres cold water

Apply 15 - 17% on the first goods machine to obtain an oil content of 1.5%

 

Suggested emulsion for Jute:

 

100litres Neptune Vegetable Oil Batch

900 litres of cold water

 

Apply 30% % on Jute to obtain an oil content of 3.00%
